Madonie by bike is a set of paths that wind in an enchanting setting, between sea and hinterland of the Madonie Natural Park, surrounded by unspoiled nature. Routes mostly developed in a circle that guide the cyclists from the least experienced to the most experienced, to the discovery of an unknown Sicily rich in natural attractions but also historical, cultural and gastronomic specialties. .

Program

1 Day: Cefalù. Arrival at Palermo’s airport. With our minibus or GT bus transfer and accomodation at the hotel. Before dinner tour presentation.

2 Day: Tusa Castle. Departure towards Messina, along the national road following the coast until Castel di Tusa’s Castle. Continuing for a visit of the archaeological site of the ancient city of “Halaesa” (403 BC). Lunch and free time Tusa’s Castle . In the afternoon return to Cefalu along the coast.

3 Day: Campo Felice di Roccella. We’ll leave to Palermo, to the gates of the country towards the archaeological site of Himera. Within the site the museum has the most significant artefacts found in excavations of Himera and other sites of Northen Sicily. After the site visit, lunch and free time. In the afternoon return to Cefalu.

4 Day: Cefalù. Breakfast at the hotel. Free lunch. Time for free excursions, beach or shopping. Dinner and overnight staying at the hotel.

5 Day: Castelbuono. Departure towards Messina, along the national road along the coast until the right turn where you leave the coast to start the climb to Castelbuono. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon return to Cefalu.

6 Day: Gibilmanna e Pian delle Fate. From Cefalu towards Gibilmanna, up to Pian delle Fate, surrounded by woods, untouched nature. Visit the Sanctuary of Gibilmanna. Lunch and free time. In the afternoon return to Cefalu, where he faces a long and fascinating descent to the town.

7 Day: Cefalù. Breakfast at the hotel. Free lunch. Time for excursions, beach or shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

8 Day: Departure. Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer by bus to Palermo’s airport  for departure.

Rates for person a minimum of two participants

The price includes: transfer from/to catania’s airport . Accommodation in a standard double room with breakfast and dinner included. tour material (maps and brochures). Road book and briefing. luggage transportation to and from each hotel of the tour. Number for assistance.

The price doesn’t include: Travel from/to place of origin. Tou guide on bike. Insurance € 30 per person. Meals. Bikes. Entrance fees, tips and extra staff. Anything not mentioned in “the price includes”.

Possibility: of having a tour guide on bike and a car for assistance for a minimum of  10 persons with € 30 surcharge per person for each day. The price of the guided tour includes: Materiale illustrativo (maps and brochures). Briefing and tour presentation. Half board treatment in standard double bed room. Luggage transportation from/to every hotel of the tour. Car support (where is possible ). Guide on bike speaking italian and english.
