Program:

Day 1: Saturday: Cefalu
Independent arrival at the hotel and accommodation in private rooms.

Day 2: Sunday: Cefalu – “Coast to Coast”
Mini cruise lasting half a day – morning departure at 09.30 arrival 13:00 or afternoon departure 14:30 arrival 18:00. Mini-cruise along the coast to admire the spectacular scenery with stops at bays and coves where you can freely enjoy these beauties for naturist bathing, free swimming and snorkelling activities. You will be served on board drinks, alcoholic and soft drinks and fresh fruit. I’m going back to the hotel.

Day 3: Monday: Palermo and Monreale
From Cefalu in the direction of Monreale, near Palermo, whose cathedral brings us back to the reign of the finest Arab-Norman civilization, and whose inner walls are entirely decorated with a series of mosaics of Byzantine tradition. Special attraction is the majestic face of Christ Pantocrator, located on the apse dome. Opportunity to visit the cloister that was once part of the ancient abbey of the Benedictines. Free time to have a coffee in one of the city’s squares, or to enter the park which has a beautiful view of the valley of the Conca d’Oro. Continuation to Palermo, a city of the province and capital of Sicily, situated in a large coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Walking through the old town you go to discover the main monuments of the city, rich of Byzantine architecture, the Arab-Norman and Baroque. Visit the church of the Martorana, one of the most famous churches in the Norman style in Palermo with a refined mosaic in the Byzantine style. Visit the impressive cathedral built in the twelfth century. To see inside the sarcophagi of Frederick II, Roger II, Henry VI and Costanza d’Altavilla, but also the treasures of the cathedral containing some very interesting objects. Free time for shopping or to take a good ice cream, or to sample street food. Opportunity to see, from the outside, the Massimo. Continue to one of the markets of Palermo (the Head). Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, after a short sightseeing tour of the new part of the city, they will visit the Catacombs of the Capuchins, known for thousands of mummies found inside. Return to Cefalu.

Day 4: Tuesday: Lipari and Vulcano
From Cefalu direction Milazzo. Boarding and departure for Lipari, the ancient Greek Meligunis, which is the largest island in the Aeolian archipelago. Stop and free time to visit the archaeological site or the historical center of the city, with its cathedral of the thirteenth century and the remains of the greek-Roman era tombs. The island is especially renowned for the beauty of its cozy beaches, the casting of obsidian and the pumice quarries, but also for the presence of fumarolic activity and hot springs. Free lunch and departure for Vulcano, famous island for its thermal waters, heated by underwater ebullitions due to leakage of hot gas from the seabed. Opportunity to visit the ancient “Grotte dell’Allume”, deep yourself in mud baths or sunbathe at the beach dark and fine sand. Return to Cefalu in the late pomeriggio.giornata available to visit and admire the town of Cefalu, its historic center and the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Mandralisca museum, the medieval wash dug into the rock, as well as indulge in relaxation, the sea and shopping. Return to Cefalu.

Day 5: Wednesday: Cefalu
Breakfast in hotel and end of our services.

Supplements:  Single room € 160. Possibility to visit the Aeolian Islands by boat departing from Cefalu, supplement of € 50 per person. Possibility of having half board treatments in hotels or in restaurants .

The price includes: Accommodation in 3 * Hotel or B&B in Cefalu with bed and breakfast treatment. Guided tour as described in the program.

The price does not include: Journey from place of origin and transfers on arrival and departure. meals not mentioned – Drinks and other extras at meals – entrance tickets to monuments, museums, galleries and archaeological sites and / or attractions – tips, personal extras, – insurance and all not indicated.

Additional services: Possibility to combine flights back and from the place of origin and transfers from Palermo’s airport.
